According to agency reports, Adebayo admitted before an Ogudu Magistrates’ Court in Lagos that he pushed down and slapped Cpl. Pauline Gabriel and Cpl. Ekpe Michael, while they were on dutyat Elebiju Street, Alapere, Lagos.
The prosecutor, Cpl Gbenga Salami, told the court that, “He tore one of the officers’ uniforms and was about to run away when he was re-arrested by some other police officers who came to the scene.”
Salami added that the pregnant woman was still receiving medical attention due to the beating.
Magistrate Bola Folarin-Williams adjourned the case till 25 May for fact and sentencing. The prosecutor said that the offences contravened Sections 171 and 172 of the Criminal Code Laws of Lagos State.
