VIDEO: Governor Akpabio Admits Rigging Senatorial Primary Election

Akwa Ibom governor Godswill Akpabio confessed to manipulating the result of a PDP senatorial primary election in the state in 2007 by replacing the winner with his own candidate. The governor fearlessly said this on live TV. Akpabio said:

“The people of Ikono and Ini from 1960 have never produced a Senator. I used my own hand to strike out the name of the person who has won before, and I said it is important for me to give that region a Senator in 2007, and I produced Senator Aloysius Etuk for you; that’s where he comes from.”

Hmmmm dosen’t this call for a probe? OR as a governor does he have immunity over such acts???
