Kelly Osbourne has left her presenting role on Fashion Police after five years on the show. E!, the channel which broadcasts the series, released a statement confirming that Kelly had quit the programme.

“Kelly Osbourne is departing E!’s Fashion Police to pursue other opportunities,” read the announcement. “And we would like to thank her for her many contributions to the series over the past five years, during which time the show became a hit with viewers.”

Kelly Osbourne originally took to Twitter on Tuesday (Feb. 24, 2015) to threaten to quit the show after co-host Giuliana Rancic‘s insensitive comments about 18-year-old singer Zendaya‘s hair at the Oscars, saying it smelled like “patchouli oil” or “weed”.– one thing is certain – Kelly Osbourne won’t be missed.

As E! producers have decided to carry on with the show including finding a replacement for Ms. Osbourne asap.

According to UsWeekly – Khloe Kardashian and NeNe Leakes are two of the front-runners said to be in line for Kelly’s seat.

An insider told the mag about Khloe:

“She was supposed to do it last time and passed. She may consider doing it again but the offer would have to be really high.”

NeNe Leakes is also said to be a strong contender for Kelly’s replacement.

Melissa Rivers (Joan Rivers’ daughter), who is the producer of the show, revealed that the fashion show isn’t going anywhere, despite Kelly’s exit.

Ouch! Welcome to Hollywood where you’re reminded that there are scores of people waiting to replace you in a heart beat – just in case you think you’re too cool for school.

It’s a dog eat dog world.

Meanwhile, Kelly’s Mum, the legendary Sharon Osbourne, has weighed in on the issue of Kelly quitting Fashion Police following the Zendaya race row.

Taking to Twitter on Friday, Sharon wrote:

“I am so proud of you. You can never be bought. You always wear your heart on your sleeve. #ProudToBeYourMum.”

Additionally, Joan Rivers daughter Melissa Rivers (who’s an executive producer of the show) also spoke out in support of Osbourne, saying:

“Kelly Osbourne is a friend and has been a wonderful part of the Fashion Police family. I will miss her terribly and wish her the very best in all of her future endeavors. As my mother always said, the show must go on and I plan to continue in the same spirit.”

As for why she may have decided to move on, an insider revealed to Us Weekly,

“Kelly hasn’t been happy at the show for a while, and this whole situation solidified her decision to move on. It was time for her to go. She had five great years there, and the relationship she had with Joan there changed her life.”

Kelly’s co-presenters, Kathy Griffin, Giuliana Rancic and Brad Goreski have also not yet commented on her exit.

Since wealthy elf Ryan Seacrest and his out-of-country business partner Satan practically run the E! network, the most obvious prediction for Kelly’s replacement would be Pimp Mama Kris’ third most marketable hooker, Khloe Kardashian.
