So it’s probably to be expected that Ed Sheeran has sparked marriage rumours after being spotted with a ring on his left hand.

The 25 year old chart-topper, was pictured in a friend’s Instagram post on Wednesday afternoon, which saw him sport the jewellery on his wedding finger.  

The snap sees the ginger-haired crooner cosy up to a friend and his daughter while enjoying his on-going gap year.

The gossip comes just two weeks after Ed and girlfriend Cherry Seaborn enjoyed a passionate photobomb in his pal Taylor Swift’s Instagram photo.

Taylor had uploaded a series of images from her July 4th weekend party – with Ed making a subtle appearance in one particular shot.

The same image was shared by Abigail Anderson – Taylor’s BFF – on her Instagram, writing:
