Macy Smit, daughter of Roger Clinton, half brother of former US president, says she will cast her ballot for Donald Trump in the presidential election.
This is expected to further dent the public image of the Democratic Party candidate, Hillary Clinton whose lead over Trump in the presidential polls has diminished following another controversial discovery from her email leak as investigated by the FBI.
Smit has toed the same path with Malik Obama, step brother of President Barack Obama. Malik accused his brother of supporting a wrong candidate, and expressed optimism that Trump would do a better job in the White House. Smit, who said she has been a Democrat all her life, described Hillary as a “selfish” aunt.
“I support Donald Trump 100 percent,” she told RadarOnline.
“I have been a Democrat my entire life, but Trump is what we need right now — somebody who is going to stand up for us. I think at this point Hillary just wants it for the history books — to be the first woman president for selfish reasons.”
Smit revealed that she has never met Hillary. She alleged that, that side of the family does not think much of her.
“Something tells me the Clinton side looks at me and my mother as not good enough, but we’re hard-working,” Smit told the site.
“They’re not as good as everyone thinks they are. I went through some very personal things [without their support].”
Martha Spivey, Smit’s mother, also had harsh words for the Democratic Party candidate.
“The Clintons are all talk!”
“Hillary says she’s all about family, but she’s got a niece she’s never met and never acknowledged. The Clintons have never helped us out.”
According to Macy, she has a distant relationship with her daughter’s father. Although they talk regularly, Macy said Roger, 60, constantly makes promises he does not keep “just like Hillary!”
