Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, Beyonce has topped the Forbes magazine’s 2018 list of the highest-paid women in music.

Katy Perry

Katy Perry topped the list with earnings of $83 million (£64 million), pretax during the 12 months. Thanks to 80 dates of her worldwide Witness tour, as well as sitting on the judging panels for ABC’s American Idol reboot.

Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift is the second on the list with pre-tax earnings of $80 million (£62 million). Thanks to the success of her sixth album Reputation, which sold two million copies worldwide in its opening week, and the launch of her Reputation Stadium tour. Forbes suggests that Taylor would have taken the top spot if more of her tour dates fell inside the scoring period.

Beyonce

Beyonce rounded off the top three, bringing in $60 million (£47 million). Thanks to her performance at Coachella earlier this year and her joint album with husband JAY-Z.

Pink – Lady Gaga

Pink and Lady Gaga finished the top five, with earnings of $52 million (£40 million) and $50 million (£38 million) respectively.

Jennifer Lopez – Rihanna – Helene Fischer

Jennifer Lopez came in sixth position ($47 million, £36 million), Rihanna was seventh ($37.5 million, £29 million) and Russian-German singer Helene Fischer came in eighth ($32 million, £25 million).

Celine Dion – Britney Spears

Celine Dion and Britney Spears concluded the top 10, after raking in $31 million (£24 million) and $30 million (£23 million) apiece.

Figures are calculated using ‘pretax earnings from 1 June 2017, through 1 June 2018, before deducting fees for agents, managers, lawyers and estate executors’.
