“Obasanjo Can Be A Criminal Stealing Money, But He Loves Nigeria” – Amaechi In Audio Leak
The minister of transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, who is also the director general of President Muhammadu Buhari Campaign Organisation, was heard allegedly showering praises at the former president Olusegun Obasanjo whom he described as a patriot even though he coulf be a thief.
In a short audio released by Reno Omokri, a former aide on new media to former President Goodluck Jonathan, Amaechi allegedly said that Obasanjo is the only Nigerian that loves the country. Amaechi said:
“I don’t think Nigeria can change, a lot of Nigerians are cowards. You know why Nigeria can’t change, it’s that the elites… and a lot of you are either elites or potential elites.”
“You are not Nigerians. The only Nigerian I have seen on earth is Obasanjo. Hate him, like him, he is not a Yoruba man, he is not an Hausa man, He can be a criminal, He can be stealing money but he loves Nigeria.”
