50 Cent has reacted to an order by Gonzalez Emanuel, a Commanding Officer with the New York Police Department (NYPD) Who instructed his fellow officers to shot him on sight.
An investigation has been opened and it was discovered that Gonzalez made the remark in June 2018 during roll call at the 72nd Precinct.
50 Cent was set to attend an NYPD boxing match in the Bronx, which provoked Gonzalez who claimed the rapper threatened him on Instagram to say, “Shoot him on sight.”
Apparently, Gonzalez and 50 Cent have underlying issues which prompted that call.
Gonzalez said it was only a joke, but the incident was reported to his superiors in his department. The cop is currently being investigated by Internal Affairs even though he’s still on active duty.
50 Cent’s representative told TMZ, that the rapper is taking the threat seriously. He said:
“Mr. Jackson takes this threat very seriously and is consulting with his legal counsel regarding his options going forward. He is concerned that he was not previously advised of this threat by the NYPD and even more concerned that Gonzalez continues to carry a badge and a gun.
50 Cent also took to his Twitter page to share photos and condemn the threat.
