A bride has been criticized and labeled an ‘a**hole’ for not inviting one of her closest friends to be in her wedding party – because of her massive boobs.
In a Reddit post, the unnamed bride shared her side of the story, asking fellow users if she was really an “a**hole” for not including her friend in the wedding party.
The bride began the post by explaining that since they were very young, she had two close friends, Kristy and Erin. She invited Kristy to be in the bridal party, but Erin did not receive an invite based on her body.
The bride then asked Erin to be in the house party, and her reaction was lukewarm at best. She asked Kristy about it later and she told her that Erin’s feelings were hurt.
“[Kristy] told me that Erin’s feelings were hurt and then asked me why I didn’t include Erin, and I told her the truth.
The bride then revealed exactly why Erin did not receive an invite into the wedding. She said:
“Erin has MASSIVE breasts. Literally bigger than should be physiologically possible because she has a hormone disorder that caused her breasts to grow to an excessive degree.
”Part of me has a fear that Erin’s presence would be a distraction.
“I’ve been Erin’s friend since we were kids. I’ve been there through it all, and I have seen how people react to her situation. When people think back on my wedding, I want them to think about how beautiful the venue was, or how nice the wedding party looked, or (dare I say) my fiancé and I finally getting hitched!
“I don’t want people to remember my wedding for the bridesmaid with the giant boobs.”
While telling Kristy all these, Kristy was quick to inform the bride that she was being an ‘a**hole’ to her friend by keeping her out of the wedding just because of her body.
People who read the post were less than impressed by the bride’s decision – and were quick to tell her so. One person agreed she was being an “a**hole”.
“Ultimately yeah, you’re right, it’s your day and you get to be as selfish as you want about it. But that doesn’t mean you’re not an a**hole for making those selfish decisions.”
Another commenter wrote:
“You specifically didn’t include someone in your wedding party for a medical problem they can’t control. Trade out the issue at hand with ‘needs a wheelchair’ or ‘has a prosthetic arm’ and you’ll see the clear issue.”
The comment stuck out to the bride who took time to respond back and admit she was wrong.
The bride later updated her Reddit post to let people know she understood she was being an ‘a**hole’ and was speaking with Erin to resolve the issue. She wrote:
“I plan to sit down with Erin, apologize, and do what I can to fix the situation.”
