Hollywood actor Jussie Smollett is now facing a felony charge for claiming that he was a victim of a hate crime he orchestrated for.
Jussie Smollett had told the police that, while walking in downtown Chicago, he was confronted by masked men who hurled homophobic and racial slurs at him, and announced it was “MAGA country,” a reference to President Trump’s campaign slogan.
Investigations revealed that the actual “attackers” are two Nigerian brothers (Abel and Ola Osundairo) were reportedly paid by Smollett to stage the attack.
