The presidential campaign rally of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State on Monday was greeted with so much violence after the State Governor, Ibikunle Amosun, attempted to campaign for another candidate, Abdulkabir Akinlade Who is running for the state’s governorship under the platform of the Allied People’s Movement (APM).
The visibly annoyed national leader of the APC, Bola Ahmed Tinubu could not hold back his anger while Governor Amosun was campaigning for another candidate. He was caught on camera shouting at the governor who can be seen trying to calm down him down. Out of frustration, Tinubu threw away the APC flag.
Another person angered by Governor Amosun‘s action is the Osun State Governor, Rauf Aregbesola, who stormed the stage to interrupt him when he was campaigning for APM candidate.
Apparently not happy with Aregbesola’s move, some thugs believed to be loyal to Amosun started jeering and pelting stones at President Muhammadu Buhari, APC Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole and some APC chieftain.
