First Female Chief Judge Of Anambra State Sworn In By Governor Obiano [Photos]

Hon. Justice Ijem Onwuamaegbu was sworn in yesterday as the Acting Chief Judge of Anambra State by the State Governor, Willie Obiano.

Hon Justice Onwuamaegbu who took over from the former Chief Judge, Hon Justice Peter Umeadi has made history as the first female Chief Judge since the creation of the state.

Swearing-in the Acting Judge in a brief ceremony at the Executive Chamber, Government House Awka, the Governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano expressed the optimism that the appointment would help speed up the dispensation of justice in the state.

Governor Obiano also assured the Acting Chief Judge of his administrative support to enable her deliver on her new mandate.
