A millionaire dad is selling his virgin daughter for £240,000 says his future son-in-law must meet three important requirements.
Arnon Rodthong, 58, is frustrated that 26-year-old daughter, Karnsita, is still single while helping to run the family business in Chumphon province, southern Thailand.
While the local custom demands that a man should pay a dowry to the bride’s family, Mr. Rodthong has waved off the dowry payment.
Instead he said he will give his future son-in-law 10m Thai baht (240,000GBP) plus they will have a stake in his sprawling durian farm valued at several millions of pounds.
The person will also marry his daughter, who is a university graduate, she speaks English and Chinese fluently.
Mr Rodthong said there are also no restrictions on what nationally the successful applicant should be. But his top three requirements are:
Mr. Rodthong owns a durian farm, a very divisive food and has been dubbed “the world’s smelliest fruit,” the centre processes some 50 tonnes of it every day. His farm is the biggest in the region.
He added:
‘”I want someone to take care of my business and make it last. I don’t want a person with a bachelor’s, or master’s or philosopher’s degree. I want a diligent man. I just want someone with a hard-working attitude. That’s all.
“As soon as I have an in-law, I will give up all my assets to him.”
The wealthy Buddhist – who loves golds amulets – also owns property and land across the region.
Karnsita, who is his youngest child with older brothers, said that she was overwhelmed with the attention from her father’s post and confirmed she is “still single”.
But she hinted that her future boyfriend might have a struggle pocketing the money from her father, as she would “like to use it herself for plastic surgery in Korea”. She added:
“I first found out about my father’s post when my friend’s showed me. I was surprised but I can see the funny side to it, too.
“It is true that I am still single. If I have to get married with someone, I only want him to be a diligent and good person who loves his family.”
