The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has said that any candidate who misses this year’s Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, UTME, for any reason would Have to wait till next year to retake it.
KanyiDaily earlier reported that candidates preparing to seat for the upcoming West African Examination Council (WAEC) and JAMB have cried out over the clashes in the timetable of the two examination bodies.
The candidates complained bitterly about the clashes, thus, asked the two bodies (WAEC and JAMB) to quickly synergize and reach understanding for the sake of their future.
In reaction, the JAMB Head of Information, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, said on Monday in Abuja that the board said will not reschedule the 2019 UTME for any candidate.
He said any candidate who misses this year’s UTME exam will have to wait till next year. He words:
“The examination will? Start on Thursday and we are urging all the candidates to ensure that they print their notification slips? before Thursday. This is important so that candidates can know their schedules.
“This is because the board will not reschedule the exams for anybody. If anyone misses the examination, such has missed it till next year.”
The 2019 UTME is expected to start on Thursday this week in 698 CBT centers nationwide.
