The plight of a teenage girl has been brought to the public over her unfortunate condition in Bayelsa state. The 15-year-old girl who is pregnant reportedly sleeps in an uncomplicated building somewhere in Yenagoa, the state capital, after falling out with her aunt.
It was gathered that the girl was brought to Bayelsa state from Akwa Ibom by her aunt who promised to enroll her in school but never did so. Instead, her aunt turned her to house help and allegedly maltreated her.
According to the girl identified as Lovet, her aunt brought her from the village when she was in elementary five because of the condition of her mother who happens to be a stroke patient and her dad who is late.
She was allegedly maltreated by her aunt who sells food in Yenagoa and due to the alleged molestation, she was deceived by one of her aunt’s customers who promised to take care of her.
The young man invited her to his place and had sex with her until she got pregnant for him and was abandoned.
Lovet is seeking urgent help from well-meaning Nigerians, religious leaders, government, humanitarians, to come to her aid as she passes through hard time.
