17-Year-Old Boy Marries 16-Year-Old Girlfriend After Pressurizing Parents In Anambra

A 17-year-old boy identified as Somto Nwachukwu reportedly got married to his 16-year-old fiancée in a traditional way over the weekend in Okofia Village of Otolo Nnewi, Anambra State.

According to reports, Somto was said to have dropped out of school since last month (October) and insisted that he wants to marry his heart rob.

Following his insistence, his family were said to have granted his wish by throwing a lavish traditional wedding for him and equally blessing his marriage.

After the wedding, Somto’s parents were said to have opened a retail shop for the boy and his new wife. They also allowed the newlyweds to live alone at home give to Somto by his father.

Reports have it that Somto is not the only child of his parents. He has an elder brother, who is a graduate and he said to be staff at a hospital in Anambra.
