Saheed Anifat Foluke, a female hajj pilgrim from Oyo State, who attended the recently concluded 2019 hajj exercise, has reportedly absconded after the holy pilgrimage in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
The Chairman of the state Pilgrims Welfare Board, Muslim Wing, Prof. Sahed Malik, disclosed this while presenting the report of the 2019 hajj operation to the state Governor, Seyi Makinde, at the Governor’s Office in Ibadan.
According to Malik, Anifat was one of the 914 pilgrims that took part in the 2019 Hajj from the state.
He said her disappearance was noticed when the board was preparing the last batch of pilgrims for their journey to King Abdulaziz International Airport, Jeddah on 1st September, and all efforts to locate her was unsuccessful.
Malik said upon returning to Nigeria, the board couldn’t also locate the address she gave as that of her guarantor.
“Up till this moment, neither her guarantor nor any of her relations has come to ask questions about her,” he said.
