Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello has reacted to the drama that ensued at the campaign rally of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lokoja, when Governor Nasir El-Rufai went down on his knees to beg the forgiveness of Kogi people on behalf of their governor.

KanyiDaily recalls that during the grand finale of the APC Governorship Campaign in Lokoja, Governor El-Rufai knelt down before Kogi people, asking them to forgive Governor Bello for any wrong he had done over the past three years of his administration.

El-Rufai was joined by the Deputy Governor of Edo State, Philip Shaibu, who also knelt down next to plead with the people on behalf of Bello.

Reacting to the incident during an interview on Channels TV, Governor Bello said El-Rufai was actually begging Kogi people to forgive him for over performing.

According to him, Governor El Rufai knelt down and begged Kogites to forgive him for performing well, providing good roads, electricity & security to the good people of Kogi.
