Commissioner of Health in Lagos state, Akin Abayomi has revealed that there are now three new suspected cases of coronavirus at the Infectious Disease Hospital in the Yaba area of the state.
Abayomi, who announced this on his Twitter page on Thursday night, said the samples of the patients have been taken and the results are being expected.
“We now have 3 suspected cases under isolation in our containment facility in Yaba. One from France, one from England and one from China. Their samples have been taken and results are been expected,” he wrote.

KanyiDaily recalls that Nigeria confirmed its first case of coronavirus on February 28, 2020, making it the third African country to confirm the virus.
The virus was brought into the country by an Italian citizen who entered Nigeria on Feb. 25 from Milan, Italy for a brief business visit.
