A lady simply identified as Monica has reportedly been swindled of about N3.2 million by four men who also gang-raped her at Orile Agege area of Lagos State.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that Monica had accosted the four men who convinced her that she would be richer if she would bring some money for them to double it.
Monica, who claimed that she was hypnotized, brought all her money and even borrowed from other people with hope that the suspects will double it in millions.
However, after bring the money, She was told that she will embark on some spiritual work to enable her to manage the millions of Naira they will give her which involved sleeping with her one after the other.
She reportedly believed them; they gang-raped her and asked her to come back on an agreed date to carry the money.
Unfortunately for her, when she got there on the agreed date, she did not see any of the men and it was then that she realised that she has been duped.
She reported the matter to FSARS operatives at Ikeja Command and the police trailed the suspects and eventually arrested one Akeju Fadogba.
52-year old Fadogba was found culpable during interrogation, and later charged before the Ogba Magistrates Court for conspiracy, rape and fraud.
The Court did not take his plea after the prosecutor, Mr. Odugbo Innocent, asked the Court to refer the matter to the DPP for advice because the offence the defendant and others committed was felony which attracts several years of imprisonment if he is tried and found guilty before the Court.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. S.K. Matepo, ordered Fadogba to be remanded in prison custody without an option of bail and directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send to the DPP for advice.
