Jigawa State Police Command has arrested eleven people for allegedly raping a 12-year-old girl at Limawa quarters in Dutse local government area of the state.
Spokesman of the State police command, SP Abdu Jinjiri, who disclosed this to newsmen on Sunday, said the suspects were arrested on May 30, in Dutse Local Government Area of the state.
Jinjiri explained that the arrest was made after the police received a complaint that one of the suspects, aged 57 of Ma’ai village was seen at Limawa market in Dutse LGA, trying to lure a 12 year old girl of the same address to a hidden place, to have intercourse with her.

He said police arrested the suspect and on the course of interrogation, the girl mentioned eleven persons who have been raping her severally in different occasions.
Police spokesman said all the eleven suspects were also arrested and have confessed to the offence. The case is still under investigation at the State CID in Dutse.
