Nigeria is set to resume international flights by August 29th.
The coronavirus pandemic brought to a halt the travel, transportation and tourism industry.
To curb the spread of the deadly coronavirus, movement between countries was suspended and all international flights grounded.
Nigeria had earlier announced that international flights would resume on October 15th, but in a surprising turn today, the Minister of Aviation Hadi Sirika announced a new date.
The news which was announced via his Twitter page reads:
“Glad to announce the resumption of international flights from the 29th of August, 2020. Beginning with Lagos and Abuja as we did with the domestic flight resumption. Protocols and procedures will be announced in due course. We thank you for your patience.🙏🏽🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬🙏🏽:
