KanyiDaily had reported that there is an ongoing #EndSARS protest across the country against the SARS tactical unit of the Nigerian Police Force over its brutality, illegal arrest, extortion, extra-judicial killings, among others.

There was an uneasy calm late hours of Thursday when Twitter reportedly crashed as many could not refresh and get updates.

According to Twitter Support, “most of you should be back to Tweeting. The outage was caused by a system change initiated earlier then planned, affecting most of our servers.

“We’re working hard to bring Twitter back to normal and expect things to be fully resolved in 1-2 hours. We appreciate your patience.”

However when the social media platform was restored, it was noticeable that the #EndSARS hashtag now has an emoji of a tight fist, with the country’s green and white colours.

Nigerian youths are ecstatic about the new development showering unreserved praises on the Twitter manager led by CEO Jack for the new #EndSARS emoji.

The development is coming just two days after Jack joined the #EndSARS protest and encouraged his followers to contribute to the intervention funds for young people who are pretesting police brutality in Nigeria.
