British singer, Adele and her ex-husband, Simon Konecki, have finally reached an agreement on their divorce settlement, two year after they announced their separation.
According to PEOPLE, the former couple filed a judgement packet with the court in Los Angeles on Friday, January 15, 2021, though the document has not been entered or signed by a judge to officially dissolve their marriage.
Adele and Konecki have finished their work to finalize the $171 million divorce settlement, but the marriage won’t officially be ended until the judge signs off on the paperwork.
KanyiDaily had reported that the singer and charity boss ended their eight years old marriage on April 2019, but it is widely understood that a pre-nup arrangement had not been agreed to protect her fortune.
In April last year, Adele’s request to keep the details of her £140million ($171 million) divorce private was granted by the court in Los Angeles.
The Los Angeles court had ruled that Adele and Konecki will work out the financial details of their divorce behind closed doors, and never be made public.
The 31-year-old singer and her estranged husband will share custody of their seven-year-old son, Angelo, but ‘financial, sales or other confidential business information’ regarding the proceedings will not be publicly available.
Last year, Adele was rumoured to be dating British-Nigerian rapper, Skepta, whom had been in regular contact and series of dates with her following her marriage split from Simon Konecki.
