Four Policemen Killed As Gunmen Attacks Anambra Police Stations, Burn Vehicles
Four policemen were killed on Wednesday when unknown gunmen attacked two police stations in Aguata Local Government Area and Omogho in Orumba North Local Government Area, all in Anambra State.
According to Tribune Online, the gunmen drove into the police stations in a salon car and a black Mercedes Benz 4matic, before opening fire on the policemen deployed to patrol the two locations.
It was also gathered that while two policemen were killed in Nkpologu, two were also killed in the Omogho attack.
After the killings, the police patrol vehicles at the checkpoint were also set ablaze by the assailants who zoomed off by shooting into the air.
Meanwhile, the state police command has confirmed the attack through its spokesperson, CSP Haruna Mohammed.

According to Mohammed, the police commissioner, Monday Kuryas, has visited two spots to ascertain the level of damage.
Mohammed said Kuryas visited Mkpologwu, Aguata Local Government Area and Omogho in Orumba North, where hoodlums attacked police patrol teams in the morning at about 11:30 am.
He has also ordered for investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident and bring perpetrators of the dastardly act to book.”
KanyiDaily had also reported how gunmen killed three police officers and left two others injured during an attack in a Police Station in Ebonyi State.
