Ondo State Security Network, known as Amotekun corps, on Tuesday arrested another set of 300 cows for violating the grazing laws in the state.
KanyiDaily recalls that on Sunday, the security outfit arrested over 100 cows along the busy Akure/Ilesa highway while the herders took to their heels.
Another round of over 100 cow were seized on Tuesday at the outskirts of Akure, the state capital, with the herders alleged to have fleed following the arrival of Amotekun operatives,
The arrest of the cows caused heavy vehicular traffic along the Oyemekun-Oba Adesida road up to Alagbaka on as Amotekun corps conveyed the seized cows to their headquarters in Alagbaka while it was raining heavily.
KanyiDaily recalls that Ondo Amotekun had previously ejected about 37 herdsmen and their over 5000 cows over their refusal to register with the state government.
