President Buhari’s Son, Yusuf Reportedly Set To Marry Princess Zahra Bayero Of Kano

Yusuf Buhari, the only son of President Muhammadu Buhari, is reportedly set to marry Princess Zahra Bayero, daughter of Emir of Bichi in Kano State, Nasir Bayero.

DAILY NIGERIAN quoted a credible source saying that the wedding ceremony will take place “in the next two to three months”.

“Preparations are on top gear for the grand event. As the tradition provides, the parents of the groom have met with the parents of the bride to express Yusuf’s interest in marrying Zahra,” the source said.

It was gathered that the wedding dwould have already taken place if not for the first lady, Aisha Buhari, who recently returned from a six-month medical trip in Dubai.

The source further explained that due to Aisha’s return to Nigeria a few weeks to Ramadan, the wedding would probably take place after the sallah celebration.

“Now that his mother returned a few weeks to Ramadan [Muslim holy month], it is clear the wedding will take place after Sallah holidays,” the source said.

Zahra Bayero is currently a bachelor’s student in the United Kingdom, studying architecture, while Yusuf is a 2016 graduate of the University of Surrey, Guildford, United Kingdom.

This is coming a few months after Buhari’s youngest daughter, Hanan got married to Mohammed Turad Sha’aban, a special assistant to former Lagos State Governor and current Minister of Works and Housing Babatunde Fashola.
