Popular Nigerian singer, Simi, and former Big Brother Naija housemate, Erica Nlewedim, has taken to social media to lambast a music producer, Samklef, for sexualising fast rising artiste, Tems.
The problem started on Saturday after Nigerian superstar, Wizkid, shared a snippet of himself and Tems on set for the visual for the song “Essence”.

Soon after, Samklef shared Tems’ photo on Twitter, saying he could not wait to see her butt in the upcoming music video with Wizkid.
He wrote: “Everybody can’t wait to see Tems yansh. Me self dey wait. Who dey wait with me?”
Apparently, his statement did not sit down well with Simi who simply replied him by tweeting, “WTF is wrong with you.”
In a bid to justify himself, Samklef lashed back at Simi and described her criticism as an “eye service”, asking why she decided to go public rather than correct him privately.
“Eye service better face front. U 2 know abi? U wan show yourself. Why didn’t u dm to take it down? But na u only pass abi?
“Simi. Toxic. @Symplysimi u ingrate. Cause u think say u don blow. I go delete that tweet. But u f up,” he wrote.
The music producer further mentioned Erica in his tweet, stating that although she had sex on national television, everyone had moved on from the episode.
He wrote: “Erica had sex pn national tv and everybody spoke about. She is leaving are normal life now. It’s past. So pls let this matter die,” he tweeted.
In a swift reaction, Erica warned Samklef to keep her name out of his ”sewage mouth.”
She tweeted: “Excuse me, I don’t know you, so please keep my name out of your sewage mouth. You just had to insert me in your drama today! I will not be associated with you!
“When you start trending again today, thank Tems, Simi and me, your mummy, woman hater.”
After being dragged on Twitter, Samklef went ahead to apologise for the tweet about Tems, saying it was only a joke not intended at disrespecting women.
“I’m doing this video because I need to sincerely apologise first. I posted that caption because Wizkid and Tems were going to do a video,” he said in a video.
“So people are saying, ‘we can’t wait to see her backside’. Everybody knows I play too much. Simi has my DM. She did not message me but went on Twitter because she wants to see me down.
“She couldn’t DM me if she felt the tweet was sensitive. One of my friends called me. But she had the guts. Who are you? Because of you, I left the gospel music industry. People don’t know how fake you are.”

As at the time of filing this report, Tems hasn’t responded or made any statement in respect to the tweet in which she was sexualized.
KanyiDaily recalls that Former US President, Barack Obama released his favourite 30-track list for 2020, and “Essence” by Wizkid featuring Tems made the cut.
