Popular Nigerian singer, Davido has celebrated his colleagues, Burna Boy and Wizkid, who won their first-ever Grammy Awards on Sunday night.
KanyiDaily had reported that Burna Boy bagged the much-coveted Grammy award in the ‘Best Global Album’ category for his “TWICE AS TALL” album.
Wizkid, on the other hand, won a Grammy for the Best Music Video’ for his role in ‘Brown Skin Girl’, a 2019 song by American pop singer, Beyonce.
Reacting on his Twitter page, Davido congratulated the winners, noting that the victory is for Nigeria, no matter how people look at it.
“Whichever way you look at it, this is a victory for Nigeria for the culture and for my people! Congrats to our winners! Tule Naija! Flag of Nigeria #Grammys #foreverchoke,” he tweeted.
KanyiDaily recalls that Burna Boy was nominated in the same category in 2019 – then known as Best World Music Album – but lost out to Angelique Kidjo at the awards ceremony in 2020.
