“Governor Seyi Makinde Looks Quiet But He’s Very Deadly” – Ayodele Fayose Alledges [Video]

Former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose has alleged that Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, have a quiet look, but very deadly.

Fayose stated this on a Channels TV programme: Politics Today, on Wednesday following the conclusion of the south-west congress of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Both Makinde and Fayose belong to the PDP and presented candidates for the chairmanship of the party in the south-west.

While Makinde backed a former deputy governor of Oyo State and eventual winner, Taofeek Arapaja, Fayose supported Eddy Olafeso.

Speaking against the backdrop of a viral video that showed some thugs threatening to kill him if he attends the PDP congress in Osun State and its eventual outcome, Fayose said those who made the threat were Makinde’s men.

“I have seen this video, what this gentleman was saying at the time, they came to the venue saying we are waiting for you here, we are going to kill you.

“This is the chairman of the road transport workers in Oyo State, this people came with Governor Makinde’s convoy… Everybody knows.

“This is enough to show the whole world if Governor Makinde, a first-time 2-year old governor, yet to be 2-year-old governor is parading characters like this, it simply shows the kind of people behind him,” Fayose said.

When confronted with the fact that the video also shows the character and quality of the people in the PDP, Fayose said it is shameful, stressing that thuggery is disgraceful for the party.

“This is shameful for our party, I take responsibility, in the 21st century, thuggery is shameful for our party. You remember I was in Ondo, these same people came to attack me and I told Governor Makinde, so I am glad the whole world is seeing this.

“Governor Makinde, he looks quiet but deadly. Parading these people to wait for me there, they are over a thousand and they were saying they would cut my neck if I dare come to the congress and that was why I made up my mind that I must attend that congress. Even if I die there, I die, so I attended the congress, by the time I got there, they fled.

“So, I don’t think that this is right for Nigeria, it is not right for our party and is condemnable. If anybody wants to do election and you parade 200 buses of thugs, it is sad.”

KanyiDaily recalls that Fayose had warned Makinde to steer clear of the leadership of the PDP in Ekiti, after the Oyo Governor was adopted as the party’s Southwest zonal leader.
