KanyiDaily recalls that in November 2020, the Lagos High Court had sentenced Prophet Ogundipe to two years imprisonment for defrauding a UK-based woman, Mrs Olaide Williams-Oni, to the tune of N17 million.

Ogundipe, who is the Senior Shepherd-in-Charge of the Celestial Church, was charged with seven counts of obtaining by stealing, inducing delivery of money by false pretences, unlawful conversion of property and forgery.

However, the Court of Appeal in Lagos had on April 1, 2021, granted Prophet Ogundipe a post-conviction bail on the ground of health conditions.

On Sunday, April 11, there was jubilation in the Celestial Church of Christ when the convicted Prophet entered the church premises amidst joyous welcome from his members.

In a video posted on Instagram by the church, Prophet Ogundipe was seen leading praise and worship as he joined members of his church for Sunday service.
