“Angry Nigerians Are Giving Buhari Excuse To Stay In Power Beyond 2023” – Basket Mouth [Video]

Popular Nigerian comedian, Basket Mouth has warned that angry Nigerians are giving the President Muhammadu Buhari-led government an excuse to stay in power beyond 2023.

Basket Mouth stated this in a video shared on his Instagram page while reacting to the current trend of burning the offices of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) by those upset with the way things are going in Nigeria.

He warned that if the trend continues, President Buhari will have a reason to stay in power beyond 2023 which is the expiration of his tenure.

Speaking in a blend of English and Pidgin, the comedian said;

“I have been reading in the news with all the burning of INEC offices across Nigeria. You know these guys are really upset with the way things are going in Nigeria, so their resolve is to burn INEC offices.

“But guess what, what if INEC comes out to say you guys damage their equipment, the server, everything is messed up and they can’t conduct an election in 2023?

“You know wetin go happen? it means that people on top will remain on top, your vex go last for a very long time, You know abi? Fuel now wan hit N380 trust me, the way I dey look this country, by next year fuel go hit like N5000 per liter.

“We go start to dey use horse, donkey, carmel, bicycle, leg. Dey burn the office, dey give them excuse to stay in power.”
