The Police Council on Friday confirmed the appointment Mr Usman Alkali Baba as the nation’s substantive Inspector-General of Police (IGP).
The decision was taken at the council’s meeting presided over by the President Muhammadu Buhari at the First Lady’s Conference Room, Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Minister of Police Affairs, Alhaji Maigari Dingyadi, confirmed the develodpment to State House correspondents at the end of the meeting.
