President Buhari Returns To Nigeria After Visiting Bola Tinubu In London

President Muhammadu Buhari has returned to Abuja after a three-week trip to the United Kingdom, where he visited the National leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu.

KanyiDaily recalls that Buhari had traveled to London for the Global Education Summit on Financing Global Partnership for Education (GPE 2021-2025), which was held on July 29, before undergoing a scheduled medical check-up.

The President, who had visited Tinubu in London on Thursday, August 12, touched down at the Presidential Wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport at about 18:45 pm on Friday.

He was received on arrival by his Chief of Staff, Prof Ibrahim Gambari; National Security Adviser, Major-General Babagana Monguno (rtd); Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Lucky Irabor; service chiefs, the Inspector General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Mohammed Musa Bello.

While at the airport, President Buhari inspected a guard of honour mounted by officers and men of the Guards Brigade of the Nigerian Army before watching displays by cultural troops representing different Nigerian cultures.

He later departed the airport aboard a helicopter to the presidential villa in Abuja.

Buhari returned from the UK amidst the strike embarked upon by resident doctors in Nigeria since on August 2, over irregular payment of salaries, hazard allowances among other issues.
