The Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB) has ordered a mandatory sit-at-home on Thursday, the scheduled day for the visit of President Muhammadu Buhari to Imo State.
Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma had disclosed that President Buhari would visit the state on Thursday to commission some of his completed projects.
However, in a broadcast on Monday evening, IPOB executives, Mazi Chika Edoziem kicked against Buhari’s visit to Imo and declared Thursday as a sit-at-home day over the president’s visit.
”IPOB declared that Nigeria’s president is not welcomed into Imo State, Biafra Land on Thursday, September 9, 2021.”
“All the traditional rulers, all ndi iche and every Biafran should stay away from any ceremony organised by Hope Uzodimma to welcome him.”
IPOB also declared total lockdown of South-East on that day, Thursday.
