Popular Nigerian singer, Davido has reacted to the arrest of a billionaire club owner, Obinna Iyiegbu, popularly known as Obi Cubana, by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

KanyiDaily had reported how Obi Cubana was arrested by EFCC operatives and taken to their headquarters in Abuja on Monday afternoon, 1st November.

Although the reason for his arrest was sketchy as of press time, a source disclosed that the socialite was being interrogated over alleged money laundering and tax fraud.

Reacting to the news on his Instagram story, Davido shared a photo of Obi Cubana with the caption written in Igbo language, accompanied with an emoji of a crown.

It reads: “Obi nwere Ego” which means “Obi has money”.

Meanwhile, convener of Concerned Nigerians, Deji Adeyanju said that Obi Cubana should be grateful that it was EFCC that picked him up not the FBI.
