ISWAP Terrorists Kidnaps Borno Royal Family Members While Travelling To Maiduguri

The Islamic State of West African Province (ISWAP), a breakaway faction of the Boko Haram terrorist group, has reportedly kidnapped three brothers from the royal family of Askira Uba Emirate of Borno State.

According to PRNigeria, Mohammed Askira, 50, was kidnapped on Saturday along with his two brothers while they were traveling to Maiduguri, the Borno State capital after attending a function in Askira Uba town.

Sources said the three siblings are all brothers to the present Emir of Askira Uba, HRH. Dr. Abdullahi Ibn Mohammad Askirama.

The wedding fatiha of the Emir’s daughter, Fatima Mai Abdullahi, was held last Friday, November 5, at Askira Emirate palace.

KanyiDaily had also reported how bandits killed the son of the Emir of Kontagora, Bashir Saidu Namaska during an attack at his farm in Niger State.
