Nigerian artists including Wizkid, Tems, Burna Boy, Femi Kui and his son, Made Kuti, have been nominated for the 64th edition of the 2022 Grammy Awards.
Nigerian music stars were nominated in the “Best Global Music Performance” and “Best Global Music Album” categories for the Grammy Awards scheduled for January 31, 2022, in Los Angeles.
Burna Boy bagged a nomination in the Best Global Music Performance for his collaboration with Angelique Kidjo. Femi Kuti’s ‘Pa Pa Pa’ and Wizkid and Tems song ‘Essence’ are also nominated in this category.
Made Kuti shares the spotlight with his father, Femi, as their collaborative album ‘Legacy +’ receives a nod in the Best Global Music Album.
