Grammy award-winning Nigerian superstar, Burna Boy has threatened to make life a living hell for Ghanaian dancehall star, Shatta Wale, as their ongoing feud gets bloodier.
KanyiDaily recalls that Shatta Wale had recently insulted Nigerian artistes for failing to reciprocate the love and support they receive from Ghana.
Reacting to the controversial comment, Burna Boy questioned the motive behind Wale’s claims, saying that he’s ready to have a one-on-one fight with the Ghanaian star if he has a problem with him instead of fueling an agenda of separation between Nigeria and Ghana.
On Saturday, Shatta Wale accepted Burna Boy’s one-on-one challenge, as he announced the venue for the face-off in a series of past shared on his Twitter page.
He wrote, “Oh Burna Boy says he want a 1 on 1, let’s do this Accra sports stadium. I just call shot, If you be man don’t come sing your song let’s do freestyle !!!
“Ghana – Nigeria I’m ready for this, I double dare you Burnaboy. Infact I 10x dare you this no be fight just lyrical like you go stop singing!
“Don’t let anyone tell you I want to use you for hype because you know money has been a problem from day 1 I met you, Don’t forget yourself so soon! [sic].
In his response via his Instagram story, Burna insisted on engaging Wale in a fist like “real men do”, saying he had been trying to set up the clash with the Ghanaians star since January last year.
Burna Boy also threatened to make “life a living hell” for Wale whenever he travels out of Ghana — if he fails to accept his challenge.
He wrote, “Fool wants to come and sing rubbish. I’m trynna see your teeth and blood on the floor, boy. You talking about signing, Joker.
“This guy thinks I have time. @Shattawalenima, this ain’t 8mile! No be rap battle. It’s a fist battle. The type real men do. We can do it anywhere you want. Behind closed doors or in stadium for the world to see,” he wrote in a now-deleted post via his Instagram Story.
“Stop acting like you don’t know I have been trying to set this up since January last year. Consider this an easy way out for you because I could easily make your life a living hell anywhere you go outside Ghana. You know I got more money than all your godfathers combined.”
KanyiDaily recalls that Nigerian rapper, Vic O had also challenged Shatta Wale to a rap battle, saying that if the Ghanaian dancehall star beats him, he will resign from doing music.
