Former Anambra State Governor and vice-presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2019 election, Peter Obi has replied a supporter who threatened to sue him over his refusal to declare for the 2023 presidency.
On Saturday, January 15, Peter Obi had taken to his Twitter page to congratulate the Nigerian Super Eagles for defeating Sudan 3 -1 in the ongoing African Cup of Nations (AFCON).
He wrote, “In a season of gloom, the Super Eagles have again given us a reason to celebrate and be hopeful. Keep the flag flying. #AFCON2021.”
Responding to the tweet, a Twitter user @FakeBuhari threatened to sue the former Anambra governor if he fails to declare for the 2023 presidency by the end of this month.
@FakeBuhari tweeted, “Sir, if at the end of this month and you don’t declare interest for the presidency in the 2023 election, then be ready for legal action from me.
“Leave #AFCON2021 for Orji UZOR Kalu, that’s his calling, not yours. Your calling is excellent economic leadership. Congrats #TeamNigeria.”
