Burna Boy Makes History, Becomes First African To Hit 200m Streams On Boomplay

Grammy-winning Nigerian singer, Burna Boy has made history after becoming the first African artist to hit 200 million streams on Boomplay Music.

Burna Boy Breaks Record On Boomplay

In a post shared on its Twitter page on Monday, February 14, the music streaming platform shared pictures of Burna Boy with a golden plaque in recognition of the milestone for hitting 200m streams.

Sharing the photos, Boomplay wrote: “An #AfricanGiant standing #TwiceAsTall on 200,000,000 Boomplay streams! A BIG shoutout to Burna Boy for hitting this historic milestone.

“Odogwu you bad, e file fun Burna Boy as he poses with the first ever duo-Golden club plaque, for hitting 200,000,000+ streams on Boomplay. Celebrate this living legend by jamming his milestone hits on Boomplay.”

KanyiDaily recalls that Burna Boy has recently taken to social media to show off his newly acquired 2022 Lamborghini Novitec Edition worth N253 million.
