“There Is Only One ‘Buju’ And He’s From Jamaica” – American Rapper, Fat Joe [Video]

American rapper, Fat Joe has weighed in on the issue of mixed identities between Jamaican reggae star, Buju Banton, and Nigerian singer, Daniel Benson, also known as Buju.

Fat Joe Shades Nigeria’s Buju

During a recent interview with Wendy Williams, the legendary rapper said he has heard of another African artist going by the name of Buju.

Fat Joe, however, stated that there is only one artiste who is recognised as Buju in the world, and he is the legendary Buju Banton from Jamaica.

He said, “There’s only one Buju Banton and he’s from Jamaica.”

This comes a few days after Nigeria’s Buju announced that he has officially changed his stage name to “BNXN” which would be pronounced as ‘Benson’.
