Ghanaian President, Nana Akufo-Addo has addressed the recent dispute between Nigerian music superstar, Burna Boy, and Ghanaian dancehall star, Shatta Wale.
During his recent speech at a press conference on Ghana-Nigeria relations, Akufo-Addo said the recent online brawl between the two musicians could have resulted in a “diplomatic incident”.
According to him, Nigeria and Ghana have always been on good terms and love each other, even though the two countries quarrel and disagree occasionally.
He said, “Apart from musician Shatta Wale of Ghana and Burna Boy of Nigeria threatening to spark up a diplomatic incident recently, Nigeria and Ghana have always been siblings. Even though we quarrel and disagree occasionally, we love each other.”
KanyiDaily recalls that the fight began when Shatta Wale insulted Nigerian artistes for failing to reciprocate the love and support they receive from Ghana.
Reacting to the controversial comment, Burna said that he is open to a one-on-one fight with Shatta Wale if he has a problem with him instead of fueling an agenda of separation between Nigeria and Ghana.
