Popular gospel singer, Evangelist Osinachi Nwachukwu has reportedly passed away on Friday evening in a hospital in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.
The singer, who shot to limelight after the release of “Ekwueme” by Prospa Ochimana, reportedly died of throat cancer on Friday evening, April 8, 2022.
Although her family was yet to issue a statement on her death, it was gathered that Osinachi was diagnosed of the deadly ailment and has been battling it for two months until her demise yesterday night.
Until her death, Osinachi Nwachukwu was a leading chorister at Dunamis International Gospel Centre founded by Pastor Paul Enenche.
She was a composer, servant of God and producer of Christian worship music, who has featured in some popular gospel songs including “Nara Ekele” by Pastor Paul Enenche, “Ekwueme” by Prospa Ochimana, and “You no dey use me play” by Emma.
Osinachi Nwachukwu is survived by her husband Peter and four children. She was the twin sister of “Amarachi Grace Eze, who is also a powerful singer.
Osinachi’s death comes just two weeks after her colleague, Chinedu Nwadike, 39, died of blood cancer in Abuja hospital after recovering from a kidney problem.
