Ghanaian dancehall star, Shatta Wale has taken to social media to slam his country’s music industry while calling on his colleagues to respect Nigerian artistes for their hard work.
In a Twitter post, the rapper described Ghana music industry as “shameful”, adding that “lazy” Ghanaians should stop engaging in comparison with Nigerians who have been dominating streaming platforms because they understand what talent means.
Wale wrote, “Please can we just respect Nigerians for their hard work and stop comparing our lazy lifestyle to theirs.. It’s shame people think Nigerians will come hard at me but see they are the ones doing the streaming because they understand what Talent means .. Ghana music is a shame.”
In another tweet, Wale asked Nigerians not to weigh into his criticism of his country’s people, stressing that he would face Nigerians if he had any” beef” with them.
He wrote, “So, man can’t talk to some foolish Ghana fans in peace, Nigeria please I no come for una I beg. I am talking to Ghana foolish fans association. I will come to you when I have beef over there please… let me finish with these f**kers I beg.”
KanyiDaily recalls that Shatta Wale had recently insulted Nigerian artistes for failing to reciprocate the love and support they receive from Ghana.
