A Dutch-Nigerian man, Wiebe Boer, also known as Yohanna Maigona, has declared interest in the 2023 governorship race in Plateau State.
According to a poster circulating online, Maigona is running for the Plateau Governorship election on the platform of the “All for All Peoples Party”.
It was gathered that Maigona, who lived all his life in Jos and attended secondary school there, speaks Hausa and English fluently.
Maigona is the CEO of All On Energy, which is involved in renewable energy, such as solar power. He also has an affiliation with Pan African Writers Association(PAWA).
On 12 May 2021, Maigona, also officially called Wiebe Boer, was the interviewer of Professor Wole Soyinka, the first guest of PAWA’s Conversation Series.
