A video circulating on social media shows the moment a musician and some mourners took to their heels over alleged fear of gunmen at a funeral in South-East Nigeria.
In the viral video, the musician and his band could be seen entertaining guests at the funeral when they suddenly stood from their seats and began running.
Although the video didn’t capture who disrupted the burial, it was gathered that the entertainers and mourners took to their heels due to fear of unknown gunmen.
A Twitter influencer, Afam Deluxo, who shared the video on Wednesday, expressed concern over the state of Igbo land and the violence that has taken many lives.
He wrote: “Burial ceremony in Alaigbo. This is our reality right now. You can be saying Hello to someone and running for your dear life the next mins. 😭”
KanyiDaily had also reported how unknown gunmen killed and abducted several persons during a funeral in Bonny Local Government Area of Rivers State.
