Former Senator representing Kaduna central at the senate, Shehu Sani has expressed confidence that Nigeria will defeat any terrorist attack.
Sani stated this on his official Twitter handle on Monday morning while reacting to the US Embassy’s latest terror attack warning.
Yesterday, the US Embassy in Nigeria issued a terrorist attack alert focused on Abuja, Nigeria’s capital.
According to Sani, even though the latest terror attacks alert is not precise, it should be taken seriously.
He called for courage and vigilance by everyone instead of panic, adding that “They shall be defeated.”
The former lawmaker wrote, “The US Department of State’s latest warning on the possibility or probability of terror attacks in Nigeria and particularly Abuja is not precise but should be taken seriously.
“This is not the time for panic but courage and vigilance. They shall be defeated.”
Meanwhile, Kanyi Daily reported that the Nigerian Defence Headquarters said it has acknowledged the terror alert by the Embassy.
Defence Spokesman, Major General Jimmy Akpor, said the intelligence community was aware and had put mechanisms in place to prevent any attack in the capital territory.
