Cristiano Ronaldo Reportedly Agrees To Sign £172.9m Deal With Saudi Arabia’s Al Nassr

Manchester United star, Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly agreed to sign a year contract worth £172.9million with Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia.

Cristiano Ronaldo ‘Agrees’ To Join Al Nassr

The 37-year-old Portuguese, who is a free agent after leaving Manchester United last week, will become the highest earner in sports after he signs the bumper deal with Al Nassr.

Ronaldo has been on the lookout for a new team after Man Utd terminated his contract last week in response to his controversial interview with Piers Morgan earlier this month.

It was gathered that Ronaldo has been offered a two-and-a-half-year contract worth €200m (£173m) per season, and has an initial agreement to join the Saudi Arabian side after the World Cup.

Sources, however, close to the former Real Madrid and Juventus superstar insist no deal has been signed and that Ronaldo remains focused on the World Cup with his country.

However, reports in Spain today claim the ‘dizzying figures’ have been agreed which will see the five-time Ballon d’Or winner play outside Europe for the first time in his career.

Al-Nassr are one of the most successful clubs in Saudi Arabia, having being crowned winners of the country’s top flight nine times, with their most recent triumph coming in 2019.

Ronaldo, who has won 34 trophies in his career with 118 goals, is currently third on the highest-paid athletes list, earning £83.6m per year, meaning his £172.9m a year deal with  Al Nassr will double his salary.

KanyiDaily had reported how Manchester United terminated Cristiano Ronaldo’s contract following his outburst in an interview with Piers Morgan.
