It was gathered that the fire started at about 1:00 a.m. on Monday, and the cause of the fire is yet to be known.

The Anambra State fire service is on the ground trying to extinguish the fire.

The chief firefighter in Anambra state confirmed the incident, saying that he promptly deployed his men to the area when he was alerted.

He said: “The fire started around 1 am, and I quickly deployed my men there.

“So far, they have gone to refill the fire trucks with water twice, and our men have gone to refill a third time.”

This incident comes a few weeks after Kanyi Daily reported many people were injured and others killed with property worth millions destroyed in the Onitsha chemical market fire.
